PFD Week 2024 Media Guidelines
The American Urogynecologic Society welcomes members of the press, publishing in all forms of print, electronic, audio, and visual media, to cover our PFD Week 2024 Scientific Conference.
Journalists receive complimentary registration, which includes a press badge with access to many educational sessions and the exhibit hall. The following sessions and events are excluded: Early Career Day, Fellows and Residents Day, ticketed events, industry supported sessions (without prior consent), Research Funding Panel, and social events.
AUGS will review the credentials of all journalists seeking to attend PFD Week 2024 Scientific Conference to ensure that eligibility requirements are met. When your registration has been processed, we will email you to let you know so that you may then register for housing within AUGS’s discounted block. Housing is not complimentary.
Members of the press must adhere to the
AUGS Meeting Code of Conduct.
If you would like to register for the meeting or have any questions, please contact Jenna Dean, Senior Director, Governance and Engagement at
jenna@augs.org.
Embargoes Unless published between submission and presentation, all content being presented at PFD Week 2024 Scientific Conference is embargoed until the time of a presentation. For information presented at a session, the embargo lifts when that speaker begins to talk about that topic (not when the session begins).
On-site & Virtual Guidelines Press badges will be distributed onsite at registration. A press badge must be worn at all times to gain access to sessions and the exhibit hall.
Registered media are prohibited from distributing anything (i.e., advertisements, product samples, handouts) in the exhibit hall or meetings rooms.
AUGS staff can assist in scheduling interviews with presenters.
Registered media are prohibited from asking questions of presenters until after a session is over and should always clearly identify themselves as media. The Q&A portions of presentations are for paid meeting attendees.
Should media interact with attendees in person or virtually, they must first identify themselves as press.
While attending on-site instruction courses, registered media should not take a seat until the course begins to ensure there are enough seats for attendees.
Photography and Recording If coming with a camera crew or photographer, please contact AUGS staff for instructions.
Photography of any component of educational programs (including stills and video of presenters, materials, screens, etc.) is strictly prohibited without prior permission.
Please ask permission before taking photos or videotaping an exhibitor's booths. When filming in a shared space, please make sure no exhibitor logos are in the background.
Any recorded or photographed material is for editorial use only in conjunction with a news story related to the PFD Week 2024 Scientific Conference and may not be live streamed without written consent and permission.
Copyright and Intellectual Property Attendees should respect copyright laws and intellectual property rights by not reproducing, distributing, or using copyrighted materials without permission from the original creators or owners.
AUGS program content may not be distributed or used to develop continuing education materials without the express written consent of AUGS.
