The healthcare industry is not just about providing care; it’s also a field rich with opportunities
for personal and professional growth. For surgical specialist looking to advance their careers,
the path isn’t always clear-cut. Additionally, those from underrepresented groups in medicine there are unique barriers that have historically prevented career advancement.
The facilitators are two pelvic surgeons that work in different practice environments and can
provide a diverse perspective on job advancement. In addition, the moderators can offer the
viewpoint from an early career and an established career.
The intended audience includes Urogynecology and Urology physicians interested in advancing
their professional careers or in pursuing an academic promotion and tenure at their institution.
