Omar Najjar, MD, is a third year resident physician at the Brown University-Women & infants Hospital OB/Gyn program. After completing his undergratuate studies at the American University of Beirut, he attended medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he graduated in 2021 with the Emily Simms Haller Prize for excellence in gynecology and obstetrics. He is interested in medical student and resident wellness and education; he currently serves as the residency interview chair at his program. He is interested in evaluating patient experiences and education within urogynecology through the lenses of gender and sexuality, socioeconomic inequity, and racial-ethnic disparities. He is particularly interested in providing empathetic, trauma-informed care for patients with peripartum pelvic floor disorders. He currently lives with his husband, Tyler, and their two cats, Dolce and Gabbana, in Providence, Rhode Island.
