Scarlett Bergam, MPH, is a third year medical student at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences where she is a Lazarus Family Scholar and president of the Beaumont Honors Research Society. Her research work since her undergraduate and master's degrees at Brown University primarily focuses on the sexual health of adolescents living with HIV in South Africa, where she spent a year developing and testing an mHealth intervention as a Fulbright researcher. At George Washington University, she has researched the impact of incidental discoveries of cancerous lesions on the standard of care for pelvic floor prolapse repair. Scarlett hopes to pursue OB/GYN residency during Match 2026.
