Tanaz Ferzandi, MD, MBA, MA

Dr. Tanaz R. Ferzandi joined Keck Medicine of USC as the Division Director of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery in 2019. She is the Service Line Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Keck Hospital, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Keck School of Medicine, and Associate Fellowship Director for Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. In 2023 she was elected to serve as the Medical Secretary and Treasurer for Keck Hospital. Given her interest in health care policy, Dr. Ferzandi obtained her MBA from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
During her tenure in Boston, Dr. Ferzandi developed the Urogynecology Division at Tufts MC. She chaired numerous committees and was on quality boards. Her tenure culminated in being elected President of the Medical Staff for Tufts MC.
Dr. Ferzandi has been very active with AUGS and served on numerous committees focused on the practice management aspects of care delivery. She served as Member-at-large on the AUGS Board of Directors and was the Practice Management Council Chair overseeing the Coding and the Payment Reform Committees. She then served on the Finance Committee prior to being elected to the Executive Board as Vice President in January 2023. Currently, she is President-elect. Dr. Ferzandi is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is active with the advocacy arm of the College and is an elected member on the ACS ‘Women in Surgery’ Committee.
Dr. Ferzandi is an board examiner for both the general and urogynecology for ABOG. She is passionate about education and training the next generation of generalists and Urogynecologists and has received numerous teaching awards for her efforts. She was named in Boston Magazine and Castle Connolly “Top Doctors” for several years, and recently named “Top Doctors in 2021” by LA Business Journal.
