Lee A. Richter, MD is Board Certified Urologist and Urogynecologist. She is an Associate Professor of Urology and Obstetrics & Gynecology at Georgetown University School of Medicine and is the Associate Program Director for the MedStar/Georgetown Urogynecology Fellowship Program.
Dr. Richter graduated from Cornell University and then earned her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her Surgical Internship and Urology Residency at MedStar Georgetown University, followed by Urogynecology fellowship at the MedStar National Center for Advanced Pelvic Surgery.
In addition to her work in Washington DC, Dr. Richter serves on the medical advisory board for the International Organization for Women and Development. In this capacity she travels yearly to Rwanda to perform fistula repairs for women who suffer from this debilitating condition.
Her professional career is focused on utilizing her diverse training in both Urology and Urogynecology to train the next generation of surgeons while also providing the highest quality of care to patients.
