Lauren E. Giugale, MD (she/her/hers)

Dr. Giugale is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Urogynecology and Department of Obstetrics, Gynecologic and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She provides Urogynecologic care for all pelvic floor disorders, and she has a particular interest in maternal pelvic floor health after pregnancy and childbirth. Dr. Giugale developed and is the Director of The Postpartum Pelvic Floor Healing Clinic at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, where she cares for patients with obstetric anal sphincter injuries and other peripartum pelvic floor concerns. She is also AIUM certified in ultrasonographic assessment of the pelvic floor including the levator ani and anal sphincter muscles. As such, her clinical and research interests include postpartum pelvic floor recovery as well as pelvic floor ultrasound and its use in the diagnosis and management of pelvic floor disorders.
