Dr. Santos is a Guatemalan fellowship trained urogynecologist, co-founder of BYOS Pelvic Health Institute in Guatemala, board of directors member in the national Guatemalan Association of Gynecology and Obstetrics -AGOG- and a scientific committee member in the Latinamerican Pelvic Floor Association -ALAPP-. He is medical director and chief of Urogynecology Unit at Byos Pelvic Health Institute in Guatemala and medical director at Grupo Médico Asociado -GMA-. He recieved his medical degree and his Master's degree in OBGYN at San Carlos of Guatemala University then he completed his Urogynecology fellowship at the National Autonomous University of Mexico -UNAM- and the National Institute of Perinatology -INPer-. He has a special interest in medical education developing educational and training programs for general OBGYNs, residents and pelvic floor allied health professional across latinamerica in the past 9 years, also training (surgical simulation and live surgery) physicians in Dominican Republic in urogynecology as part of Urogynecology Global Health Innitiative since 2020. He is a Teacher Assistant at PPCR -Clinical Research Program- from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University. He has published on topics such as Vaginal Hysterectomy, Genitorurinary Fistulae management with graft interposition, clitoromegaly treatment and Urogynecology Global Health.
