Susan Wherley, MD, MPS is a urogynecologist at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. She completed fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals/MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. She concentrated in African Studies and Health Policy as an undergraduate at Harvard College, earned a master's degree in Homeland Security and Public Health Preparedness at Penn State University while working for a local public health non-profit in Washington DC, and ultimately opted to give up emerging pathogens for gynecology at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. She completed residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center as a global health scholar and served as executive chief resident. Her academic interests include surgical teaching, quality improvement, and care of gender diverse patients.
