Dr. Chen is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urology (by courtesy) at Stanford University School of Medicine with sub-specialization in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery and Director of Urogynecology, Department of Ob/Gyn, Stanford Medicine. Her basic science research focuses on extracellular matrix metabolism in pelvic tissues, stem cell technologies for regeneration of the urogenital system, and voiding dysfunction. She leads a multidisciplinary research team that specializes in translating basic stem cell science into clinical applications, consisting of experts in urology, physics, engineering, stem cell biology, and medicine.
