My name is Qinhan Zhou. I'm a PhD student who works in Dr. Kristin Miller's lab at the University of Texas at Dallas. My research focuses on biomechanical quantification of human vaginal tissue under the effect of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) as well as POP implants. We implement planar biaxial tensile testing to simulate biaxial loading conditions in the body to provide a physiologically relevant measurement. We are also working on mathematical models and frameworks to describe and predict vaginal mechanical behaviors with the progression of diseases.
