I am a second-year PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh, working in the Translational Biomechanics Research Laboratory under the guidance of Dr. Steven Abramowitch. My research focuses on women's pelvic health, specifically on understanding the biomechanics of pelvic floor disorder development. I use imaging and finite element modeling to study these disorders. Currently, I am investigating the relationship between pubovisceral avulsion and the perineal body to gain better insights into the level III support of the pelvic floor.
