Dr. Burnett is a Reproductive Scientist Development Program Scholar that joined the division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery in July 2022 at UC San Diego. She is also the director of the Pelvic Health After Birth program focused on understanding pelvic health in pregnancy and after delivery. Her research includes basic, translational, and clinical studies to improve mechanistic understanding of how pregnancy, delivery and metabolism impact pelvic floor disorders including pelvic organ prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections, urinary and fecal incontinence.
