Whitney K. Hendrickson, MD is an Assistant Professor of Urogynecology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She is also a current K12 Women's Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) Scholar. She completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at UC San Diego and her Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Duke University. Her research interests are in better definiting treatment outcomes for overactive bladder and urgency incontinence as well as better understanding the many mechanisms to developing overactive bladder in order to ultimately imprve therapeutics and preventative strategies to these mechansims. She is specifically interested in the interplay between vascular aging, dementia and overactive bladder. She has a passion for data science, and applying robust and appropriate statistics to create predictive models to improve patient care. She was the 2019 receipient of the SUFU Foundation Research Grant for Study of Chemodenervation, where she created and internally validated a model predicting efficacy and complications after intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA for refractory non-neurogenic urgency incontinence.
