Urogynecology Fellow
University of Chicago - NorthShore University HealthSystem
Ever since my 3rd year of residency I have focused my energy clinically as well as academically towards the field of urogynecology attempting to increase my exposure to this field and gain skills which will develop me as a clinician and researcher. Following my residency I started a fellowship program in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at NorthShore University Healthsystem affiliated with The University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. During my residency I became deeply involved in research and discovered a true passion for combining clinical work with meaningful research. Ever since starting my fellowship, my research has focused on biomechanical and image-based analysis of pelvic floor dysfunction. I have had the opportunity to work closely with Dr. Ghazaleh Rostaminia, a true leader in the field of dynamic imaging of the pelvic floor. My goal is to continue and use pelvic floor imaging to better understand physiology and pathology of the pelvic floor, in the hope of this knowledge translating into innovative treatments which in time may lead to improved patient outcomes.
