Dr. Pancheshnikov is an attending urogynecologist at Cooper University Health Care, Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Director of the Center for Global Health and Global Health Education (CGHed) at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU).
Dr. Pancheshnikov received her bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies with a minor in Latin American and Latino Studies at Brandeis University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and inducted into the prestigious honors Phi Beta Kappa Society. She received her MD degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. She then completed her Urogynecology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. She is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and is a fellowship trained subspecialty surgeon in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery (URPS).
Dr. Pancheshnikov has been an active global health participant and leader. Before starting her medical career, she received a Fulbright Fellowship, collaborating with researchers from the Dominican Republic on work related to the prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission. Throughout her medical education and training, Dr. Pancheshnikov continued to participate and lead various global health programs in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Brazil, focusing on women’s health and global health education. In 2017, she founded Urogynecology Global Health Initiative (UGHI), an initiative which aims to develop urogynecology education, training, and service in the Dominican Republic. She also co-led a virtual longitudinal Urogynecology course in Latin American and the Caribbean through ALAPP, the Latin American Pelvic Floor Association. She is developing a global health curriculum and Scholarly Concentration at CMSRU and directing the new CMSRU Center for Global Health and Global Health Education.
Dr. Pancheshnikov's areas of special interest include: global health, health equity, reducing health disparities, and medical education and simulation.
