Dr. Andrea Pezzella is a specialty trained Urogynecologist, double board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She earned her Medical Degree from St. Louis University and completed her residency in OB/GYN at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. She completed her Urogynecological training at Fallon Clinic, Inc, of Worcester, MA., and then became Co-Director in the the Urogynecology Clinic there where she practiced 7 years.

Dr. Pezzella then relocated to Columbia, SC for a unique opportunity in her career and joined a private Women’s center where after 2 years after which founded Southern Urogynecology, The Center for Incontinence and Female Pelvic Medicine, a unique, state of the Art practice exclusively designed for women with female pelvic disorders, voiding dysfunction and cosmetic gynecology.

Her vision was to create an all-encompassing center with comprehensive care for the mature woman both medically and Aesthetically.
In August 2017, SU Wellness and Aesthetics was launched offering facial aesthtics, body contouring, hormone replacement therapies as well as alternative treatments for vaginal rejuvenation and intimate wellness.
Serving women for over 20 years, she has dedicated herself to the treatments for pelvic floor, menopause and aging as well as aethetic issues.
Dr. Pezzella continues to advance her surgical and medical education training in pelvic floor surgery and Robotic technology. She performs clinical research in her practice engaging in cutting edge technology and participates in clinical trials. Dr. Pezzella is a thought leader and Key Opinion Leader in the field of Urogynecology and Neuromodulation. She is a proctor/trainer for many surgical device companies as well as consultant.
Besides running a busy practice, Dr. Pezzella spends her time with her husband, Vince Vismara, MD, and 2 young adult children, Luke (21) and Isabella (23). She enjoys traveling hiking, pickleball, kettlebells, summers on Cape Cod, cooking and wine tasting.
