Lora Reineck, MD, MS, is Director of the Clinical Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) Program at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). She is a pulmonary and critical care physician and health services researcher with expertise in observational studies, clinical trials, and implementation research.
Dr. Reineck leads PCORI’s Clinical CER program which focuses on comparing the effectiveness and safety of alternative healthcare options to enable patients and providers to make informed healthcare decisions.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Reineck was acting Branch Chief and a Program Officer at the National Institutes of Health in the Division of Lung Diseases of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
An undergraduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Reineck received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and her master of science degree in clinical research from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed internal medicine training at the University of Michigan and pulmonary & critical care training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
