Francesca obtained her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, after which she had joined the Alperin lab as a postdoc in 2018. Francesca is now a project scientist and she is interested in investigating the role of muscle stem cells in the pelvic floor muscles’ plasticity during pregnancy.
