Dr. Cara S. Ninivaggio is a board-certified urogynecologist who works at Kaiser Northwest Permanente in Portland, Oregon. Originally from New York, she earned her B.S. in Biology from Boston College and her M.D from SUNY Stony Brook (Renaissance) School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology. After residency, Dr. Ninivaggio remained at Stony Brook as junior faculty and completed their 1 fellowship in minimally-invasive gynecology before entering urofynecology fellowship at the Unversity of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque. Since graduating, she has worked at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, and then re-joined the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at UNM where she was an assistant professor, served as the associate fellowship program director, and the quality and safety officer for the ob/gyn department. In 2020, she and her family moved to Portland, Orgeon, where Dr. Ninivaggio joined the URPS division at Kaiser Northwest Permanente.
