Dr. McDermott is a clincial research in the field of Urogynecology at the University of Toronto.
She did her BSc and MSc at McGill University and then went on to do her MD and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto. She then did her Urogynecology/FPMRS fellowship at Indiana University and returned back to Toronto to start her practice in 2010. She is currently the head of the division of Urogynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital, an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, is the Past President of the Canadian Society of Pelvic Medicine (CSPM), and is the current Chair of the Scientific Committee for AUGS.
