Jaber Saad grew up in southeast Michigan as the son of Lebanese immigrants. He graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science majoring in biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience. He attended medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and went on to complete residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the schools Royal Oak hospital. He is now in his third year of fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the Kaiser East Bay/University of California San Francisco joint program. His professional and research interests include medical education, obstetrical anal sphincter injuries and perineal birth trauma, and the role of adverse childhood experiences in the development of urogenital pain disorders.
